Crying Time

Last night, Justin and I had time to chit chats about depressing things happening to our life. Especially to him. It hurts me so bad to see him being upset. I tried my best to make him feel better in any ways I can, which he knew I always do that and he do the same for me.

Until we came to a point reminiscing my past, my childhood. Although, we really spend time everyday or every night to have conversation especially before going to bed. I told him everything. The happy and sad moments I have been before we met. I shared everything to him like I never did before to anyone. Telling him stories with all the tears falling in my eyes. It was hard for me to remember it all for the reason that it makes me breath very hard for me. Those hard experiences I have been in my life, I wanted to forget those experiences, turn my back and pretend that I have not been to that. But, I can not. That will be part of me no matter what.

I continued my stories, and never stopped crying. I covered my eyes for him not to see my teary eyes, but obviously I sounded very hurt and upset about it. I did not see his reactions while I was telling him about my childhood although I can feel his warm hugs and palm to mine. When I decided to uncover my face and looked back to him, I saw tears on his eyes falling too. He was crying too while listening to my story.

I felt strong and not alone. Being with him, makes me feel to not afraid of anything. Seeing his red eyes, tears falling on his face was a great moment to be with him. That made me realize, Justin and I will not just be together in happiness and success. But of course through sadness and each pain feel, we will still be together.

I believe, the person that loves you will not just be there to give u comfort when you need it or you are feeling down, but they will feel the pain you are carrying. They will not just be there to make you laugh when you are sad, but feel the sadness you have in yourself. They will not just wipe the tears on your face when you cry, but cry with you until you feel better.

Busy Saturday..but FUN!

Today, Justin and I went to Liberty Lake to meet his brother Jamie with his family before going to HUGE Yard Sale everywhere in that place. We roamed and checked every houses. You can't even find a place to park your car there because of lot of people came over to check and buy something. They were things that were good to buy and there were some that were not for the reason they were expensive. They were things that I liked to buy, but too bad Justin was not there because he left with Jamie to fix the mower. I don't feel buying stuff withouth him [hehe]. After the tiring day at Liberty Lake, we decided to have lunch at Red Ribbon. We really enjoyed each other's company. After the lunch, Tina [ Jamie's wife], Taylor [Jamie's daughter] and I went to Old Navy to have a little shopping to do.

Afternoon, we spend time swimming at Jamie and Tina's house with the kids too. It was really fun! I had this feelings of being ashamed because I am wearing my two bathing suit. Although I knew that it is just normal here, but I was not used wearing that kind of stuff with other people. I wish I had taken pictures! [haha] I did not want to end the fun that fast, but Justin and I decided to leave already and get the things done we need to be finish and for tomorrow also. Everyday is a busy day for both of us [hehe].

I am his PRINCESS and HE is my PRINCE

Ever since Justin and I met through online and love blooms between us, he always treated me as his princess like nobody does, except for my Mom. For 3 years since the day we crossed our path, I was always been his ISLAND PRINCESS. He makes sure I have EVERYTHING I need for the reason that we were half of the world far away to each other and wanted me to be always in a great situation especially with my family. I am not saying Justin is a rich or wealthy guy, because he always tell me that he is just an average guy with simple life and I believe that is true. I did not fell in love for him just because of the luxury things he had given and will continue giving to me like what other people may or might thought about it. Its just that, he works so hard, he makes sure things are in good shape.

I do not need to tell him what I need or what I want for myself because all he knew that if there is something I wanted, it wont be for myself but it would be for my family. I think for my family first before myself. Whatever things he gives me, that is because I needed that and it is not just for showing off to somebody that I have it. I get things, because I believe I am worth it to have it like what Justin always tells me. I admit, I am spoiled. That is what Justin loves to do that for me and not because I asked for it.

If there are times I get and do/did something, I am proud to tell it to everyone. It just so funny sometimes how people misinterpret the things I say and I do. Isn't that they're just wasting their time? If I was that, I would not bother myself to do that. Why bother, if YOU do not care! I know people have their own differences, have their own tactics how to run their own lives, have their own goal and dreams. Mind your own life. Mind your own business. This is me, this is my life, and this is how I manage it.

I never dreamed to meet a prince, but hey!!! guess what?!!? I did!!! I will always and remain as His Princess and He as my Prince! That is for real..and not just any imaginations like what others think or say

I got my 2008 CHEVROLET COBALT

Even having a little hang over because of last night, I tried to wake up early and pretend that I am okay. Saturday is a big day for me!!!! This is the day where we are going to pick up my new car that Justin bought for me. We went through Camp Chevrolet even it was raining just to get my new car!

While we were in Camp Chevrolet, all i did was stare at my car because it was taking so long for all those papers Justin need to fill out and for being so cold! People at Camp Chevrolet were very nice and gave you great accommodation. Every details are being explained briefly. The dealers are very helpful.

We got out for almost 2 in the afternoon already and my tummy were already crumbling inside of being hungry. I do not know hungry of being inside of my new car or of foods. Surely it was because of foods [hehe] Justin drove my new car back to Spokane Valley and he left his truck there because no one will be able to drive it back to our house. I would not dare drive my car because I do not want to wreck it that fast. We stopped by first at Panda Express for lunch. Well, it is where we always go [hehe]

Oh Justin loved my new car so much!!! And so do I!!! When we got home, the first thing we did was I drove my car and I loved it!!! except I need a pillow to sit on for me to see everything...hahaha. Justin gave me a grade of B at first, that means I need to do a lot better. Well, It was easy to drive because it is an automatic car. Can't wait for next week!!!!

A Great Fun Last Night

Last night, Justin told me that we are going to a birthday party of one of his co-workers in MotorWorks will be held at Fizzie Hulligans. I do not have any idea what that place was, he just told me it is a club. So we went there 9 in the evening and I liked the place. I met the birthday boy, mostly men were there. At first, I had chit chats to some that I knew and met already. And then, I have been quiet for a bit because I was trying to listen to their conversation which I have no idea because they were talking about engines and work.

Justin introduced me to them one by one. I was surprised when some of them gave me a hug it was because I was CUTE!! [they said] I started having fun talking and replying with their jokes. Some offered me a treat for a Budweiser. I had 4 bottles of it! I did not noticed and realized that, because I was really having a blast!

There was a band named Bad Monkey that really played great music which lead me to the dance floor and show some dancing moves to everyone. I danced with Justin...ooohhh!!! That was the first time I saw him dancing and he was very cute!!! I danced with his friends too which they always dragged me to the dance floor which is fine because music were great.

There were just funny things happened that night. It kept me wondered why some people there staring at me especially men, I am not telling that I am pretty! it maybe because I was so little and they thought I should not supposed to be there because I am underage! haha. Then, there was this young man tried to get close to me and dancing dirty moves where Laura told him to stay away from me or else he will be in trouble. But the guy did not listened until Laura kicked his ass away from where I was. That surprised everybody and even Justin. We were laughing out loud because of what Laura did. Laura is Justin's tenant in one of our houses being rented. We decided to get home around 2 in the morning for the reason that one of us had a fight.

It was really a great night! I never thought I would have fun around those people. They treat me as one of them. And I would love to hang out with those people again!

Waiting for my new car!

Yesterday, Justin and I went to AppleWay Chevrolet to check and see which nice car he should buy for me. He have decided to get me a Chevrolet Cobalt. But before that, we have decided before that he will get me a VW bug, but then I asked him if he could just buy me a convertable car. For me it is look girly and cool. He did not agree! Too bad, because according to him a convertable car is not good at winter. Until he told me he will buy me a Chevrolet Cobalt, which I agreed because it looks really nice and fancy!!! When it comes to car, you can not bit him because he knew about cars a lot!

I was very inlove with the Chevrolet Cobalt when I saw it yesterday. And I can not wait to have it!!! Well, I need to wait this afternoon whatever decision he may have. He told me that I will have my new car before Monday. Whew!!

My first day of my work

I woke up early which I usually does not do. But because of my excitement in my first job, I do not want to be late. It was a nice day and I am full of energy! And I need that!! Although it was a quite disturbing to Justin because he needs to drive me to where I work and pick me up for the reason that I do not have my own car yet.

I spent 8 hours with a 2 and 4 year old kids namely Damian and Isabela. I had fun with the kids although we spent more of our time inside the house because of the rain. After 8 hours spending with the kids, it made me glad that they are attached to me already. Especially the baby boy, he loves me being around him and being with my company. He does not even want me to go home!!! It wasso sweet of him. I admit, it was not a perfect day because the Damian had accident falling on his bike. He was out of balance of riding it very fast, I am just very glad when I told their mom Lana about what happened to Damian it was okay to her, I was there watching the kids though. Well, it was an accident and it happens sometimes unexpectedly.

I hope tomorrow will be a good day. No more worries but just full of fun and activities with the kids. And I am hoping to have my new car this weekend [Justin said] and that would be very great!!!

Answer to my boredom

I have been here in the US for almost 2 months already. Being at home everyday and doing nothing makes me feel bored sometimes. I do go out with Justin every weekends because that is the time we can really spend time to each other. On weekdays, he spent his time all day at work and when he gets home his already tired but doing his best for me not to be bored. Like, going out for dinner, go to walmart and buy things I want and I like. Now, I have found the answer for my boredom everyday. It is where I spend my whole day before Justin gets home.

I spend my whole day watching my Filipino shows at PinoyChannel, I can watch my favorite shows by searching them. Either ABS - CBN or GMA shows. It helps me not to missed any new shows, hahaha.

This is a HUGE Insult to us as FILIPINOS

One of my friends in friendster posted in bulletin describing how dirty Filipinos to him. I was very shock and it made me mad in every sentences I have read. How on this earth have a person like Mr ART BELL to discriminate Filipinos. He have not seen or witnessed what Filipino culture are. He never realized that his fellow american are craving for what Filipino culture. We cant deny how dirty politics in the Philippines. But being a Filipino and what culture we have for so many years is what other nation does not have. No matter what this ART BELL says, I am still Proud of where I raised.

Here is his message

Subject: HATE LETTER

This is a very disturbing open E-mail letter to all Filipinos around
the world; specially here in North America !, from a man who has the power
to reach million of people. (he's a radio talk host)
Please read on..............
This is an open letter email by Art Bell , a radio talk show host in Nevada (more info in the email itself). Here is yet another person who has taken advantage of his power and priv ilege to use hateful words and racial stereotypes that breed further ignorance and intolerance in our society.
Art Bell is a talk radio host who has two shows that he broadcasts from his home in Nevada , that is rebroadcast by 400 stations across the country.
He's written 2 books. He lived in Okinawa , Japan for some years and had a radio program on the English station here. And, though it's hard to believe after reading the following letter from him, he actually has been to the Philippines (he's traveled fairly extensively around the world).

Filipinos.....*make me puke* ( Art Bell )
As we've all come to notice, in the past few decades, Filipinos have begun to infest the United States like some sort of disease. Their extensive involvement in the U.S. Armed Forces is proof of the trashy kind of qualities all Filipinos tend to exhibit on a regular basis. You can see this clearly by studying the attitudes and cultural Icons of most Filipino Americans.
Origins of Pinoys/Pinays:
Are they really Asian? Well we've come to accept the fact the Filipinos come from a part of the world known as South East Asia. But the term ' Asia ' is used in the wrong way. You may notice that contemporary Filipino Americans try very hard to associ ate themselves with groups that we know as Asian. I cannot count the number of times I have seen a ' Third World ' Filipino try to connect themselves to the Chinese or Japanese people. There is no connection and here's why. The Philippines is a Third World country. Nothing respectable has EVER been created by Filipino people during our entire human history. Young Filipino men in America have become obsessed with 'import racing'. They have an enormously perverted affection for Japanese cars. It's a common phenomenon. In their minds, these Filipinos somehow believe that they are Asian and that it somehow connects them to Japanese people and Japanese cars. They often take credit for the ingenuity of Japanese people and say how it's an 'Asian thing'. This term...'Asian thing' derived directly from African American slang 'blackthang'. 'It's a black thang.' 'It's an asian thang.' You can see the connection. It's even funnier that, in Japan , Filipinos are heavily discriminated against. The only filipinos that can live successfully in Japan are the filipino prostitutes. But that's the case for most Filipino people no matter where they live in the world. Now we've come down to this fact...and it is a fact.

Nothing in Filipino Culture can be seen as Asian. They have no architectural, artistic, or cultural influence which is in ANY way, asian. Thinking of the great countries in Asia such as Japan , Korea , and China there is no way you can possibly connect the Philippine Islands. This assault by filipino americans to connect themselves with the great peoples of North East Asia is foul and disgusting. Try visiting a young filipino's web site too. You'll see something called the 'Asian IRC Ring'. It has to do with the chatrooms. The most horrible thing about this is that these TRASHY people are trying to associate themselves with Asia again!! People in Asia don't act like, this at all. What we are seeing here is the natural Filipino in it's element with full access to technology and this is how they act! You will consistently see this behavior over and over again.
Another interesting thing is that these 'thirdworld' people also frequent RC chatrooms such as #chinese #japan and #asian. They must believe that they are some how related racially or culturally to North Asians. But it's completely WRONG! There might have been some distant contact With China and even less with Japan during World War II, but these people are actually more closely related to african americans and Mexican americans.
Do the parents of these young filipinos know what's going on? Would they accept this? I believe that they would and do. This is the natural 'Trash' element in filipinos manifesting itself. Nothing good has ever come from Philippines and I don't believe anything good ever will.

Recognizing your Roots (A Message to Filipinos)
To all filipino people:

Please recognize your ROOTS! You come from the Third World ! You country is a disgusting and filthy place. Most people there live in poverty! Your culture has MUCH MORE SPANISH influence than chinese, and absolutely no JAPANESE influence whatsoever. People in Japan and China , do not act like you. They do not constantly talk about sex and they have a MUCH HIGHER level of RESPECT for each other. There is NO WAY that you can connect yourself to Asia other than location. Your culture and technological advancement does not even come CLOSE to What Chinese, people have done in the past and what Japanese and Korean people are doing now! Everything you do is distinctly filipino. You cannot take credit for Japanese cars, video games, or Hentai! It's not an 'asian thing' it's, an 'American thing'. You have no concept of culture...no concept of asian ideas or asian philosophy! Can you demonstrate how you use Confucianism or Taoism in you everyday life?? You can't. And you will NEVER be able to. I understand that you are trying to create an identity for yourselves as young people... but it is NOT related to Asia .
Your Identity is Filipino. That's all you are. Just Filipino. Think about what that means....

Sincerely,
Art

Success Haircut

Last night, Justin asked me to give him haircut. I was kinda hesitated because the last time I gave him a haircut did not do good. And everyone laughed about it. Well, his wish is my command! haha.. I made it slowly and surely not to cute his hair too short and make him more good looking guy with his new haircut. He always encourage me that I will do good this time cutting his hair, and thanks to that because it was really a big help.

I did not realize that I am almost done of cutting his hair. Guess what?! I really did great this time! I love how was it done and he looks more cutier. Well, he looks cute and handsome all the time!!!

His 43rd Birthday

23rd of May was my fiance's birthday. I wanted to give him a simple but unique gift that he would love. The thing I decided to do is to make him a birthday cake. I never baked a cake ever since but I was willing to try and make it perfect just for him. So, I went to my neighbor Regina to ask some help. We never wasted time and started to bake the cake before the birthday boy come home.

As soon as the cake was finished, I hurriedly went home with the chocolate cake I made, the birthday hat and birthday balloons that Regina gave me. While preparing, I was shocked when I saw my fiance outside. What I did is, put the cake in the table and scattered the balloons around the cake and r
an to our room! haha

When he saw the cake and the balloons he ran to our room and gave me hugs and kisses while thanking me. He admitted he was surprised about that. Well, it was really a surprise thing for him! hahaha..He wont even believed that I made that for him. We celebrated his birthday together. I can see in his face that he was so happy, and so I am. It was the first time to be with him in his special day. It made me feel so good that day that I made him happy in his birthday.

Here are some picture we took in his birthday party.

This is the Chocolate cake I baked for my Birthday boy.

Dysmenorrhea

Every month I dont like having my period for the reason that, I hate to suffer having dysmenorrhea for how many days. Either before or during my period. It makes me curious of what and why I am having dysmenorrhea.

I hope this information about dysmenorrhea will help not just me but to my fellow women having the same problem like mine.

What is it?

The term menstrual disorders refers to any of a number of conditions that are related to the menstrual cycle. Menstruation is the shedding of the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) each month, also referred to as the menstrual period. Menstrual periods usually last for five to seven days. Dysmenorrhea is the term used to describe painful menstrual periods. There are two types of dysmenorrhea. Primary dysmenorrhea has no underlying cause. Secondary dysmenorrhea is caused by an underlying gynecological disorder.

Who gets it?

Primary dysmenorrhea affects more than 50 percent of all women who have a menstrual period. Approximately 5 to 15 percent of these women have severe pain that interferes with daily activities. Only about one-fourth of all women with dysmenorrhea have secondary dysmenorrhea, meaning there is an underlying cause of their symptoms. Dysmenorrhea usually begins during adolescence.

What causes it?

To understand dysmenorrhea, it's important to understand how the menstrual cycle works. Each month, the lining of the uterus, the endometrium, thickens to prepare for the egg that is released by the fallopian tubes. If the woman does not become pregnant during that cycle, then most of the endometrium is shed and bleeding occurs. The blood flows from the uterus, through the cervical canal, and out through the vagina. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs when the uterus contracts because the blood supply to the endometrium is reduced. This pain occurs only during a menstrual cycle where an egg is released. If the cervical canal is narrow, the pain may be worse as the endometrial tissue passes through the cervix. Pain can also be caused by a uterus that tilts backward instead of forward, low levels of physical activity, and emotional stress. Secondary dysmenorrhea can be caused by the growth of uterine tissue outside the uterus, called endometriosis; non-cancerous growths of muscle and fibrous tissue in the uterus, called fibroid tumors; the non-cancerous growth of the uterine lining in the muscular wall of the uterus, called adenomyosis; inflammation of the fallopian tubes; and the growth of scar tissue, or adhesions, between organs.

SpongeBob

Last Friday, I spent my time with Joe (my fiance's bro) cleaning the house, cooking dinner for that night, and buying groceries. We had a busy day and we never bought everything that we needed at home. Like the sponge!!!!! I always remind him to buy sponge because we only have 2 sponges left at home but it was already used for wiping. And I dont like it to use for washing dishes.

What Joe and I did, we just decided to go to Harvest Foods that going back to Albertson because we've been there twice that day already. Guess what?! He bought eight sponges!!! hahaha..that was fine! At least we had lot of sponges to use. Sponge for washing dishes, sponge for wiping the dirts at the kitchen, and sponge to use inside the bathroom.

The funny was, Joe thought sponges is too expensive back in the Philippines because I was really reminding him several times about it, that was why he bought eight sponges for me! hahaha

When we were about to sleep, he knocked on our room's door just to ask "Marfel, which sponge is for wiping? And which sponge is for washing dishes?" I thought he was just kidding around, so i replied "The yellow is for washing the dishes and the lavender is for wiping dirts." and he asked again, "What about the green one?" and I replied back "Just keep it for a while."

And the next morning, I woke up and saw the sponges in the kitchen!!! I was laughing out loud when I saw it and I ran to our room and told Justin about it. I decided to take a picture of what Joe did.

Here it is

APO loves to give service to fellowmen

WASHINGTON D.C. - Many fraternities have earned nasty reputations back home. But for some alumni of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) who’ve since settled here, new beginnings also mean rediscovering the spirit of brotherhood, camaraderie and selfless service.
The APO District of Columbia Alumni Association (APODCAA) is shipping 29 dialysis machines to two major hospitals in Mindanao – the Bukidnon and Cagayan de Oro Provincial Hospitals.
The machines, worth about $14,000 apiece, were donated by the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring – Maryland’s second biggest medical facility – that has a large Filipino medical staff.
"The Holy Cross management was elated when we told them we were sending the machines to the Philippines," said Jun Cristobal, adding "aside from being expensive and still very usable, they were happy to know that the donation was being made in honor of Nenita Ramos."
Ramos was a Filipina dialysis technician in the hospital’s nephrology department who died last December.
The APODCAA members donated time and treasure to ship the machines back home. Santi Sipin, who’s supervising the group’s dialysis machine project, said the final tab could reach over $6,000 – most of it coming out of the pockets of members.
That’s a princely sum for most of them because nearly all are wage-earners with their own families to support. The amount could be bigger if they put a dollar value to the nearly 400 man-hours they’ve devoted to the project, much of it during weekends which are usually spent for recreation.
But Cristobal explained they’ve tried to turn the weekend activities into potluck family affairs.
Part of the freight cost is being shouldered by the provincial governments of Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon, as well as Bukidnon Fil-Am associations here.
"We embarked on this project last Feb. 15," APODCAA president Ferdinand Gomez told ABS-CBN’s Balitang America. It wasn’t really part of their 2008 program but when they learned Holy Cross Hospital was upgrading its dialysis machines, the group convinced hospital executives to donate the old machines to Philippine hospitals.
"Dialysis treatment is really very expensive back home so we thought that in our own small way, we can help make treatment more affordable," Cristobal averred. In 2006, the average cost of a single dialysis session in the Philippines exceeded P3,000, according to Global Dialysis. A seriously ill patient may require from two to four treatments a week.
